Old is the new luxury. The barrel-vaulted brick ceiling is a material language with strong visual values and heritage.
A rigorous style, which is also extremely elegant in our days.
In the Catalan language, it’s called ‘volta Catalana’ which means ‘Catalan arch’ and it was an easy way to build a roof with ceramic tiles, where the arch distributes the forces it receives to both sides. The terrazzo stone pattern is visible and the contrast between the natural terrazzo stone look and the abstract shapes emphasises its unique appearance. If houses were collectables this would be one not to miss.
